Reviews and Ratings
My stay was quite enjoyable, largely due to the clean and spacious room, as well as the really friendly staff. I found the dining experience to be very pleasant with delicious food. However, I was disappointed by a recurring unpleasant odor that detracted from my overall experience. The location is convenient for family-friendly activities and amenities, but the noise from the nearby road was a bit disruptive.
My experience at the Red Squirrel had its ups and downs. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, making me feel valued during my stay. The rooms, although spacious and generally clean, had some cleanliness issues. The dining, especially the carvery, was a highlight, but some aspects left me wishing for more consistency. Overall, it's a place with great potential, but attention to detail is needed in some areas.
I had a decent stay at the hotel. The room was clean, and I appreciated the friendly service from the staff. However, there was a recurring smell of cigarette smoke that detracted from my experience. The dining options were good but could have had a bit more variety, especially at breakfast.
My recent stay at the Red Squirrel was a mix of positives and negatives. I appreciated the size and cleanliness of the room, but there were several maintenance issues and a lack of adequate towels. The staff service was commendable, especially from David, who made our experience more pleasant. Unfortunately, the dining service was quite slow, which detracted from the overall experience.
During my family trip, I had a lovely experience at this hotel. The rooms were spotless and provided everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The dining was a highlight, especially with the amazing carvery during dinner and a fantastic full Scottish breakfast, although there was a slight wait for breakfast service. It was disappointing to find that the access to the reception for checking-in can be tricky for those with mobility issues. Overall, the hospitality made up for the minor inconveniences.
